About the Wahoffs
Hello, we are the Wahoffs, the people behind the website. We started this site in order to consolidate all the pieces of information about us on the web, our Flickr image feed, our bookmark feed, and our blogs.
The main motivation behind this site was the birth of our son, Dylan Thomas Wahoff, on March 25th, 2008. Keeping all our family and friends up-to-date on Dylan's progress took a large amount of time, so we decided to develop this one place that all our friends and family could go.
Brian Wahoff
Hi, I'm Brian, the primary maintainer of this site. I am a web developer by trade, and currently work for EPC, Inc. as the VP/CTO of Technology Services. My position allows me to work in a variety of development environments on a multitude of projects.
I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri; and am the oldest of six children. We all are fairly close, and all still live in the St. Louis area. I met my wife, Shanon, at Missouri State University, and we were married in January, 2002. With the birth of our first son, Dylan, I am excited at the prospect of raising a family.
My interests are software development, baseball (both fantasy and the real kind), reading, and movies. My favorite tv shows are How I Met Your Mother, Numb3rs, Chuck, and Eur3ka. Evidently the way to get my attention is to put a numeral in the title.
As a full-time developer I used to contribute to the open-source content management system XOOPS, even serving as their systems administrator for a time. Once I moved into management, the time I could donate to open-source was limited, so XOOPS and I went our seperate ways. However, my interest in web development remained.
In June 2005, I began reading articles about Django, a newly announced framework for web development. At the same time, EPC was redesigning its corporate website and was looking for a development environment. After trying out the software, and loving it, I recommended that the new site be developed using this "experimental" project.

Dylan Wahoff
Although Dylan was just born on March 25, 2008, and does not yet know how to type, expect occational posts from the newest Wahoff. Hopefully we can keep this site going long enough that he will be able to post on here as well. Wouldn't that be awesome!?
